    The coin dedicated to the Iberian Lynx (Lynx pardinus), the most threatened feline on the planet, is the first of the Threatened Species series. This new series of collection coins has been created by the INCM with the aim of raising awareness and promoting the preservation of Portuguese fauna and flora at risk of extinction.
    Part of the profits earned by this coin is donated to the Environmental Fund which integrates the Fund for the Conservation of Nature and Biodiversity, currently managed by the Institute for Nature and Forest Conservation.
