Originated from the introduction of the first skates in Portugal by Queen Maria Pia, it has evolved to cover various sports such as roller hockey, figure skating, speed skating, skateboarding, inline freestyle and roller freestyle. The Federation promotes healthy sports practices, with training programs and emphasis on high performance. The commemorative coin, designed by Ana Seixas, dynamically portrays the modalities represented by the Federation, with colored highlights in the silver version.
